Mei Ling Delmonte
Group Academic Director
Mei Ling is usually based in our Golders Green Branch although she also regularly comes into our other branches in central London. With an impressive background including a Delta (Cambridge), Cert TESOL (Trinity), and an LL.B. (Hons), Mei Ling brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our team. After practising law for several years, Mei Ling found her true passion in teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL). She has since become an integral part of our school, guiding students and teachers to success. In addition to her role as Group Academic Director, Mei Ling is a beekeeper and recreational diver. She’s also an avid reader, a film buff, and a gardening enthusiast.
Bircan Ay
Director of Studies
Bircan Ay brings over 15 years of teaching experience in the USA and Turkey to her role as Director of Studies. With a Bachelor’s in English Language and Literature, a Master’s in English, and certifications in CELTA and TESOL, she combines academic expertise with practical classroom experience to create dynamic, student-centred learning environments.
Passionate about fostering a love of language, Bircan inspires learners to grow confidently and continuously. She is also interested in the intersection of AI and education, writes articles for ELT magazines, and actively contributes to the professional growth of the teaching community.
Outside the classroom, she enjoys yoga, reading, and travelling experiences that enrich her teaching with diverse perspectives and cultural insights.
George Delmonte
Operations Manager
George is the Operations Manager at Golders Green College, GG Colleges, and ABC School, ensuring that each institution runs smoothly and effectively, fostering a productive and supportive environment for both students and staff. With over 15 years of experience in education and a background as a qualified English teacher, George offers valuable insights into the educational sector. He is currently furthering his knowledge by studying a degree in Building Surveying, and a course in Project Management, enhancing his ability to oversee educational facilities effectively. Outside of work, George is an avid sports enthusiast, enjoying kickboxing, hiking, obstacle races, and football in his spare time.
Meriem Jouti
Activities Coordinator & Welfare Officer
Meriem is the Activities Coordinator and Welfare Officer at GG Colleges. She plans fun events and trips for students to explore London, make new friends, and enjoy their time there. She is also available for a chat if students ever need support or advice, and her goal is to help them feel at home and have the best possible experience while studying.
Outside of her work, Meriem runs an art collective, dabbles in acting, and can sometimes be seen on a fashion runway or at a photoshoot. She is a polyglot who speaks Arabic, French, Korean, Darija, and English, and she is currently learning Spanish.
Jack Molyneux

- Qualifications: BA in English Literature, CELTA certified
- Specialises in General English, exam preparation, and Business English
Jack is passionate about teaching and loves learning about new cultures. He’s all about fostering communication between different cultures. When not teaching, Jack enjoys watching a good football match and loves musicals.
Anwar St. Clair

A bit about Anwar:
- Qualifications: CELTA, BA in French/Spanish. Currently pursuing an MA in Translation Studies. Currently pursuing an MA in Translation studies.
- Experience: 10 years of teaching experience at different levels in the UK.
- Interests: Reading, listening to modern and traditional music from all over the world, enjoying nature, visiting parks and cafes, and watching movies.
Anwar is enthusiastic about languages and enjoys guiding his students through the language-learning process. When not in the classroom, he likes to explore diverse musical traditions, spend time in nature, and discover new cafes and films.
Yan Yanev

A bit about Yan:
- Qualifications: Bachelor’s in English and American Studies, Master’s in International Relations, TEFL and CELTA, University Diploma in Business English.
- Experience: 11 years of teaching experience – 4 years at Chinese universities, 2 years in Turkey, 6 months in Spain, and in the UK since 2019.
- Interests: Chinese food, culture and medicine, tasting food from different countries, travelling the world, football, tennis, gym, drawing, mountain hiking, reading about food benefits and nutrition.
Yan is passionate about creating engaging, student-centred learning environments that inspire a love for language and continuous growth. Outside the classroom, he enjoys exploring new cuisines, staying active, and delving into different cultures.
Nora Al-Saadoon

A bit about Nora:
- Qualifications: Nora is certified with a Cert TESOL (Trinity), showcasing her expertise in language teaching.
- Interests: Nora enjoys exploring culinary arts, traveling to experience new cultures, and has a deep passion for music.
- Language Skills: Nora is fluent in French and often visits France.

Emilia Stefaniak

Emilia is a CELTA qualified teacher with over 6 years of experience in teaching English. She was born and raised in Poland which means she knows exactly what it takes to learn English from zero to complete fluency. Having a BA in Liberal Arts (King’s College London) and an MA in Theatre Studies, she uses different techniques (including drama) to make studying both effective and enjoyable. She is interested in brain friendly learning, yoga, hiking in nature, history and art. If money wasn’t an issue she would buy an ancient mansion and restore it to its original beauty.
Aphrodite Gkoulioumi
Teacher
Aphrodite Gkoulioumi, CELTYL and Advanced Dip in TESOL , has been teaching English for 20 years in Greece, Italy and the UK. She is passionate about her work, music and art and has taken part in various art shows in the UK and abroad.
